Jesus' Sermon on the Mount is a call to counter-cultural living. It is the collision of two kingdoms. One is earthly, self-serving, and chaotic. The other is heavenly, selfless, and harmonious. One has a king that is a roaring lion seeking to devour all in his path. The other is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Each has citizens shaped by the teaching and values of their respective kingdom.
